Retainer + Costs
Our preferred model is to work on a retainer basis in a long term engagement with our clients. All costs of tools, services and vendors that we select and manage are then paid by the client directly. This insures that our interests and our clients are totally aligned, without any incentives to increase billings.
We sit down and develop with you and then implement and manage an integrated strategy across:
- Product Development;
- Web Marketing - encompassing SEM, SEO, Viral Marketing, Content Marketing and Advertising and Sponsorships;
- Social Media and Community Building;
- IT and Digital Infrastructure.
This holistic approach is vital to your success and the most difficult issue facing the small to mid-sized business. With so many pieces that need to work together, our clients would need 3 or 4 senior executive positions across IT, Marketing, Product development and Social Media to address them. And that is simply more they can afford.
So instead of tens of thousands of dollars of monthly payroll, Chrysalis enables you to get all of this capability in just the amount you need to be effective and drive your business forward. In fact, within the first couple of months of an engagement, our clients have usually decreased their overall costs - including our fees - meaning that they can put more money into growth and/or profitability.
Each Retainer engagement is tailored to our client's needs but has the following parameters.
- Initial Engagement of 1 Month. $2,500 minimum up to $10,000. This is when we sit down with you, assess your needs and develop a strategical and tactical plan. At the end of this month, you are ready to execute.
- Operational Engagement. Minimum Term of 6 Months and Minimum Retainer of $5,000 per month. If you approve the strategic and tactical plan developed in the Initial Engagement, we then move into the Operational Engagement, for which the minimum term is 6 months.
- Direct Costs paid by Client. We serve as an extension of your company, managing the outsourced E-Team, vendors, SaaS services and solutions on your behalf. These costs are paid directly by you - usually through a Paypal account.
- Success Incentives. Like you would for any employee, we normally also have a success-based incentive component to our engagement. The goals in growth, profitability or otherwise our set by you as we craft the plan in the Initial Engagement. We want to align our interest completely with yours to build a long term, mutually beneficial relationship.
